Here’s what goes on behind the scenes, ten months of the year, to make sure the Newsletter arrives on time in your post box or on the website : The Coordinator, in agreement with the team, puts out the deadline for articles to regular contributors, and sends out reminders whenever necessary. After ensuring all contributions are in the same Word format and in chronological order, the Coordinator sends the Word document on to our two Proofreaders who, each in turn, read and correct the text before sending it on to the Editor of the month. Our Editors, take turns at putting the finished Word text into Publisher, adding photos and illustrations whenever possible, together with the calendar, updated throughout the month by the Calendar Coordinator. The Editor then sends it to the Printers and to our Webmaster. The printed copies are delivered to the faithful «Paxo» team to be packed, stamped and delivered to the Post Office, in time for you to receive your copy at the beginning of the new month. And finally, the Webmaster converts the formats as required, emails copies to electronic subscribers and posts the final version on the Website. The whole process takes about 3 weeks from start to finish. The current Newsletter team is : Calendar coordinator – Chris West Coordinator – Elaine Blanc Proofreaders – Cathy Kirby and Anne Roumieu Editors – Michel Parisot and Sharon Lightowlers « Paxo » - Lish Goergen, and volunteers are always welcome! Webmasters – Tim Williams, Christine Chang, KC King Happy reading !!!
